The beautiful Walton Senior Center

Gaines Tavern History Center

WELCOME!

For over 160 years, Walton has been a successful place to live, work and play. A rural community with a modern attitude, serene country scenes co-exist with the urban hustle of the cities and towns nearby. Walton offers the perfect location for those seeking major metropolitan advantages, a moderate seasonal climate and excellent economic incentives. We have worked very hard creating this web site , and we would appreciate any comments or suggestions that you may have. Send us your comments using this form. Once again, thank you for visiting our web site, and if you are ever traveling down I-75, please stop by and see our city.

Mayor Trzop Resigns

Following is the letter read to Council by Council member Mike Wood.

It has been my honor to serve the Citizens of Walton, City Council and our Employees as Mayor of Walton. We have seen a lot of changes, I hope for the better. We always tried to do what was best for the City of Walton and the Citizens.
To City Council and City Employees, I will always be willing to help in any way possible, when needed. I fell in love with Walton when I first came here in 1972. Edie and I have lived here since 1980 calling it “Home”.
