Zotefoams Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zotefoams plc (LSE:ZTF) based in Croydon, Surrey, U.K. is pleased to announce a major capital project of approximately $22 million for a significant increase of global capacity to support future growth opportunities and provide an enhanced international footprint of the Zotefoams Group to serve its worldwide customer base. The investment will increase manufacturing process capability of proprietary technology within North America and result in a 54,000 square foot expansion to the existing facility. Twenty-fire (25) new jobs are projected to be created based on the expansion project.
The investment will comprise of high-pressure gassing capacity along with the supporting polymer extrusion and other related infrastructure, resulting in the Walton site becoming a captive manufacturing site and self-standing for most products sold within North America. Upon completion of the project Walton will be the only other full-process manufacturing site beyond the worldwide headquarters in Croydon.
The proprietary manufacturing process creates foams that are superior in strength, consistency, quality, purity, and of the lowest weights of any commercially available cross-linked, closed-cell foams in the world. The plant will provide clear operational benefits and enhanced security of supply to customers based on the business having multi-site operations for global customers. The capital improvement program is expected to be completed and operational before the end of 2016.
