Legal Notice of Public Hearing

This is to give notice that the city of Walton, Kentucky will hold a Public Hearing regarding the request for a Zoning Map Amendment from Commercial Two (C-2) to Commercial Two/Planned (C-2/PD) for an approximate 8.4 acre area located along the north, east, and west sides of Towne Center Drive, and beginning immediately south of the Walton Kroger, located at 635 Chestnut Drive, Walton, Kentucky.  The request is for a zone change to allow the development of residential dwellings at the following Date, Time, and Place:

 Date:  TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2022   Time: 6:30 p.m.

Place:   WALTON SENIOR CENTER-    44 N MAIN STREET, WALTON, KY

The purpose of the Public Hearing will be for the applicant to present their application of how the site will be developed should the request be approved. Individuals in attendance at the Public Hearing will be given the opportunity to express opinions and ask questions. Opinions and questions are to be presented in an informal but orderly manner. Minutes of the Public Hearing will be taken and will serve as a part of the record along with any exhibits and reports that have been presented.

Any persons, especially seniors and the disabled, who cannot submit written statements or attend the public hearing, but wish to submit comments, should call the City Clerk at 859-485-4383 so that arrangements can be made to secure their comments.

Change of Council Meeting Time and Establishing Community Events Planning Meetings

The regular monthly meeting of the City Council shall be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Walton Senior Center, 44 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky. In addition to the regular monthly meetings the City Council shall hold a monthly community events/discussion meeting prior to the Council Meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45pm at Walton City Hall, 40 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky.

The regular monthly Caucus meeting shall continue to be held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Walton City Hall, 40 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky.

As always, the public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.

“2022 WALTON STREETS”

CITY OF WALTON, KENTUCKY

The City of Walton is accepting bids for the “2022 Walton Streets” project. The Project includes asphalt resurfacing, base repairs, and concrete panel replacement on eight city streets.

 Each Bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope, marked ‘City of Walton Public Works Bid’, and be received by the City on or before 3:00 pm, local time, on Thursday May 12th, 2022 at City Hall, 40 N. Main Street/PO Box 95, Walton, Kentucky 41094.  Bids shall be opened, reviewed and evaluated at the City’s convenience. 

The City reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.  Each bid shall disclose clearly what is and what is not included.
