All interested persons please take notice that the City of Walton, Kentucky, is accepting applications for the office of City Clerk/Finance, a full-time position.  The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and must be bondable. Previous Municipal Clerks experience is preferred but not required. Additional requirements may be found in Kentucky Revised Statutes Section 83A.085, and in Section 31.36 of the City of Walton Code of Ordinances, and from the City Building at the address below.

The annual salary range for the position is from $28,715 to $50,352; the actual salary will depend upon qualifications, training, skills, education and experience.

Change of Council Meeting Time and Establishing Community Events Planning Meetings

The regular monthly meeting of the City Council shall be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Walton Senior Center, 44 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky. In addition to the regular monthly meetings the City Council shall hold a monthly community events/discussion meeting prior to the Council Meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45pm at Walton City Hall, 40 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky.

The regular monthly Caucus meeting shall continue to be held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Walton City Hall, 40 North Main Street, Walton, Kentucky.

As always, the public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.
