Re-elected November, 2018
Gabe was born in 1980 at Ft. Campbell Army hospital and moved to Walton where his mother grew up when he was 2. His family has lived in or around Walton since the 1700s and helped to found the city of Dry Ridge. Gabe grew up on N. Main St. and now resides on Central Avenue. He graduated from Walton-Verona High School in 1999. He attended The University of Louisville, where he studied marketing and communications and served in the U.S. Army. Gabe has served as a council member for 5 years before being appointed to serve as Mayor by his fellow council members. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, has a background in management and property services and currently is employed by Amazon working in Kindle diagnostics.
In his leisure time, Gabe enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and exploring the great outdoors. He has been to 43 states, and 3 different countries. His favorite sports teams are the Bengals, the Reds, the Louisville Cardinals, and the Michigan Wolverines.

Re-elected November 2020
Councilman Matt Brown was elected to the Walton City Council in November 2012 and re-elected in 2016. His parents Rick and Candy wanted to raise Matt and his brother in Walton so they could enjoy the school district and the great people. Matt believes in the people of this town and know that they can count on each other. He is excited and honored to serve the citizens of Walton. He has a passion for improving the city from parks and recreation to maintaining the infrastructure. He has always considered the impact of all citizens when making decisions and believes that the city is in the middle of a very important time of growth and the decisions that are made today will impact all residents in the future. Matt currently resides in Walton with his wife Brittany and their beautiful baby girl that they plan on raising in Walton.

Councilwoman Amanda (Amy) Long, elected in November 2022, brings a dedicated focus to being a voice for the people and creating more recreational opportunities for the children of Walton. Alongside her husband, Aaron Long, Amy made the choice to relocate from Greenville, Georgia to Walton three years ago, drawn to the town’s intimate atmosphere. The Longs are a family-oriented couple Celebrating almost two decades of marriage, with two children, two step children and a cherished grandson. Their decision to make Walton home was influenced by Aaron’s job in the area and the appealing small-town charm. Beyond her contributions to governance, Amy is actively involved in community service as the Vice President of the Florence Women’s Club. She is also a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Walton. Her dedication to both civic and community endeavors showcase a passion for making Walton a better place for everyone.

Council Woman Terri Courtney was appointed to the Walton City Council on February 11, 2020 to fill the unexpired term of John Wainwright who resigned his position.
