Easter Egg Hunt & 5K Bunny Run
The City of Walton every year puts on an Easter egg hunt at the Dr. O’Dell Moreno Owens & Family Nature Park (Owens’ Lake) . The Easter Egg Hunt will be on March 28, 2026 at 11 A.M.
Old Fashion Day & 5K Run
The City of Walton holds an annual event every September called Old Fashion Day. For those of you that are new to the area or not from here the day kicks off at 11:00AM with a parade. After the parade there will be a whole day of events, entertainment, food, craft booths and games for all ages to enjoy. This years event takes place on Saturday September 12, 2026 ending at 10PM. Veteran’s Day
The City of Walton holds an annual Veteran’s Day program. This event is for any and all Veterans. It takes place at our memorial located behind City Hall with a lunch that follows (to go boxes available also) in the Senior Center. This year’s Veteran’s Day program is at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 11, 2026 .
Christmas on Main & 5K Santa Run
The City of Walton holds an annual Christmas on Main event the first Friday of December. This event starts at 6 PM with a parade. After the parade, volunteers and businesses along Main St remain open and hand out goodies, snacks and drinks for all to enjoy. Also, wagon rides are available and Santa comes and visits with all the little girls and boys. The night wraps up at 8 PM so don’t miss out! Our Christmas on Main event will take place on December 4, 2026. We will update with any new information.
