Mayor Terri Courtney
Appointed May 2024
Terri Courtney was appointed to the Walton City Council on February 11, 2020 to fill an unexpired council member term and has been re-elected to council every term since then. She was then appointed to Mayor on May 20, 2024.

Matt Brown
Re-elected November 2022
Councilman Matt Brown was elected to the Walton City Council in November 2012 and re-elected to council every term since then. His parents Rick and Candy wanted to raise Matt and his brother in Walton so they could enjoy the school district and the great people. Matt believes in the people of this town and know that they can count on each other. He is excited and honored to serve the citizens of Walton. He has a passion for improving the city from parks and recreation to maintaining the infrastructure. He has always considered the impact of all citizens when making decisions and believes that the city is in the middle of a very important time of growth and the decisions that are made today will impact all residents in the future. Matt currently resides in Walton with his wife Brittany and their two beautiful children that they plan on raising in Walton.

Amy Long
Elected November 2022
Councilwoman Amanda (Amy) Long, elected in November 2022, brings a dedicated focus to being a voice for the people and creating more recreational opportunities for the children of Walton. Alongside her husband, Aaron Long, Amy made the choice to relocate from Greenville, Georgia to Walton three years ago, drawn to the town’s intimate atmosphere. The Longs are a family-oriented couple Celebrating almost two decades of marriage, with two children, two step children and a cherished grandson. Their decision to make Walton home was influenced by Aaron’s job in the area and the appealing small-town charm. Beyond her contributions to governance, Amy is actively involved in community service as the Vice President of the Florence Women’s Club. She is also a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Walton. Her dedication to both civic and community endeavors showcase a passion for making Walton a better place for everyone.

Barb Farrow
Appointed June 2024
Council Woman Barb Farrow was appointed to the Walton City Council on June 11, 2024 to fill the unexpired term of Terri Courtney who was appointed to Mayor.
