Walton City Park
The City of Walton, in cooperation with the Boone County Parks Department, maintains the Walton Community Park located at 35 Old Stephenson Mill Rd. Walton, KY 41094. Our community park consists of a soccer field, basketball courts, paved walking/hiking trail, playground, tennis courts, 3 shelters, picnic tables and last but not least our softball field dedicated to the legend of the All – American Girls Professional Baseball League, Pat Scott.
Walton Dog Park
Want to take your 4 – legged friend to the park to play? No worries, the new and improved dog park located at the Walton City Park behind the basketball courts is where you can go. You and your fur friend can enjoy the new obstacle course along with an open space for Frisbee toss.
Wildcat Run Pocket Park
Our Wildcat Run subdivision has a pocket park located on Sheppard Way for those who live in the area, new to the community or want a change of scenery.
Aosta Valley Pocket Park
Our Aosta Valley subdivision has a pocket park located on Aosta Valley Dr. with new equipment for our residents to enjoy.
High Street Pocket Park
The new High Street Pocket Park is located at the corner of Hight St. and Mary Grubbs Hwy. extension. It is equipped with a half court basketball court, water fountain, swings, slides, merry-go-round, and teeter totter.
Gaines House History Center
Veteran’s Memorial
In December of 2004 the Walton-Verona Veterans Memorial was completed. Located at 40 N. Main St. behind Walton City Hall is where you can find 7 granite pillars with engraved bricks. A tremendous thank you for all the hard work and dedication that was put forth to make this Memorial happen.
Every year the City of Walton holds a Veterans Day program as a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served. For one day, we stand united in respect for you, our Veterans. Date of program will be posted yearly therefore it does change every year.
To inquire about purchasing a brick you can contact Walton City Hall or print and fill out a form and turn it into City Hall.
Recreation
Walton Senior Center
The Senior Center is also available for party rentals. The Center will hold up to 100 people, has an open floor plan, men’s and women’s bathroom, a full-size refrigerator, large kitchen sink, microwave and is available Sunday -Saturday.
